Alicia Sacramone, 22 year old artistic gymnast was born on 3rd December 1987. Alicia Sacramone, started gymnastics when she was eight. She participated in the elite ranked competitions in 2002 and joined the national team of United States of America in 2003.
Alicia Sacramone won 12 medals, including four gold medals on vault, two gold medals on floor exercise from 2004 to 2008 at National Championships in United States of America.
Alicia Sacramone remained successful not only at national level but she also achieved great success at World level as well. She secured seven medals with a gold medal at floor exercise in 2005, a team gold medal in 2007. She also won the team silver medal in Beijing Olympics 2008.
Alicia announced in 2008 that she decided to retire after Beijing Olympics 2008 and she confirmed her retirement in the beginning of 2009. After few months, Alicia announced her return and she was back from a temporary retirement in the beginning of 2010.
